Playing on Shattered MC means agreeing to these rules. They exist to keep the experience fair and the world worth rebuilding. Ignorance is not an exemption.
These rules apply everywhere on Shattered MC — in-game chat, Discord, the website, and any official Shattered MC space. The standard is simple: treat other people the way you would want to be treated in a community you care about.
These rules are not exhaustive. They cover the most common situations but cannot anticipate every scenario. Staff reserve the right to take action against any behaviour that is harmful to the server or community, even if it is not explicitly listed here. Rules may be updated at any time — continued play on the server constitutes acceptance of the current rules. Significant changes will be announced in Discord.
Harassment of any player — sustained, targeted behaviour intended to distress — is a permanent ban offence. This includes slurs, discriminatory language, threats, and coordinated abuse campaigns. A disagreement is not harassment. Repeatedly targeting a player after being told to stop is.
Players who are consistently toxic — creating a hostile atmosphere through repeated insults, belittling other players, bad-faith arguments, or general disruptive behaviour that falls short of outright harassment — may have their punishment pathway accelerated at staff discretion. This means a warning may be skipped and a mute or ban applied directly. Consistent toxicity across multiple sessions is treated as a pattern, not isolated incidents.
Shattered MC is played by people of varying ages. Explicit sexual content, graphic violence, and shock content are not permitted in public chat. Keep it to what you'd be comfortable saying in a public space.
Political and religious topics are prohibited in all Shattered MC spaces — in-game chat, Discord, and website. These subjects generate disproportionate conflict and are outside the scope of what this community exists for. This is not a debate on their validity — it is a recognition that these conversations do not stay civil in gaming spaces and we are not equipped to moderate them fairly.
Repeated identical messages, character spam, dragging characters across multiple lines (e.g. "aaaaaaaaa"), or excessive use of capital letters makes chat unusable for everyone. One warning, then a mute.
Posting IP addresses, invites, or promotional content for other Minecraft servers in any Shattered MC space is not permitted.
Global chat is English-only so staff can moderate it effectively. You are welcome to speak any language in private messages, Guild chat, or party chat.
If a staff member asks you to stop doing something, stop. If you believe a decision was wrong, appeal it through the Discord ticket system — do not argue in public chat or attempt to relitigate it in-game.
Claiming to be a staff member when you are not — for any reason, including jokes — is a ban offence.
PvP rules vary by world. Know where you are before you fight — or before you complain about being fought.
The Nexus — PvP disabled. Safe zone. No exceptions.
The Stabilized Shard — Full open PvP. Full loot on death. No claiming. Griefing builds is permitted. Enter at your own risk.
The Benevolent Realm — PvP enabled in designated conflict zones only. No claiming.
The Infernal Realm — PvP enabled in designated conflict zones only. Full loot on death in active PvP zones.
Everything you bring into the Stabilized Shard can be lost. Killing players, taking their drops, and destroying their builds is legal and intended — the Shard resets monthly and has no permanent structures. Do not enter the Shard with items or builds you cannot afford to lose. Staff will not restore anything lost in the Shard under any circumstances.
Camping a player's spawn or respawn point to kill them repeatedly before they can move is not permitted in any zone. Kill them once and move on.
Logging out to avoid combat, using claims to teleport out of an active fight, or using any mechanic specifically to avoid a legitimate PvP engagement is not permitted.
Using modified clients, kill-aura, aim assistance, auto-clickers, or any software that provides an unfair combat advantage is a permanent ban. This includes auto-reconnect scripts used to avoid combat cooldowns.
Coordinating with players outside your Guild to gain an advantage against a third party in a full-loot zone is permitted — it is an intended part of the political landscape of those zones. Unofficial alliances are your own risk.
The only protected land on Shattered MC is Guild housing in the Nexus. There is no individual claiming — protect your things through Guild membership and Guild permissions.
Stealing from Guild storage, griefing Guild builds in the Nexus, or using trusted access to sabotage a Guild from within — commonly called insiding — is against the rules regardless of your membership status at the time. This includes former members who retained access after leaving and current members who abuse permissions. Evidence will result in an immediate ban and full rollback where possible.
There is no individual land claiming in Shattered MC. Builds outside Guild housing in the Nexus are unprotected. The Stabilized Shard explicitly permits griefing and looting of builds. Build at your own risk outside the Nexus.
The economy runs on Ancient Silver and Ancient Gold. Keep it honest — scamming and exploitation undermine the experience for everyone.
Deliberately misrepresenting a trade — false item descriptions, bait-and-switch, agreeing to a deal and not following through — is a scam. First offence: items restored and formal warning. Second offence: ban. Screenshots of agreed trades are your best protection.
Using any glitch, bug, or exploit to duplicate items or currency is a permanent ban. If you discover a duplication exploit, report it to staff immediately via Discord. Reports made in good faith will be rewarded.
Selling or buying in-game items, currency, or accounts for real money outside of the official Shattered MC store is not permitted. This includes third-party marketplace listings.
Both Ancient Silver and Ancient Gold are freely tradeable between players. Real-money trading of either currency outside the official store remains prohibited under rule 4.3.
Player-to-player trade prices are set by mutual agreement — there is no enforced price floor or ceiling. Charging high prices is not against the rules. Misrepresenting what you are selling is.
Guilds are the primary social and territorial unit of Shattered MC. Guild leaders are responsible for the conduct of their members within Guild spaces.
Any player with a Void Walker (T4) or Fractureborn (T5) rank may found a Guild. Alternatively, Guild creation can be unlocked for any rank through a one-time purchase in the Ancient Gold shop for 70 Gold. Players of any rank may join an existing Guild as members.
Guilds that function as organised rule-breaking or cheating groups — using the Guild structure to coordinate hacking, exploiting, scamming, or targeted harassment — will be disbanded and all involved members reviewed for bans. Guild leaders who actively encourage or participate in such activity will be permanently banned. A Guild leader will not be punished for a member's actions unless they are actively involved in or directing those actions.
Guild island plots in the Nexus require a weekly Ancient Silver upkeep fee calculated as: (active members × 450 ◆) × plot multiplier. Plot tiers are Small (9 chunks, 1.0×), Medium (25 chunks, 1.5×, requires 5 members), Large (49 chunks, 2.0×, requires 15 members), and Alliance (81 chunks, 2.5×, requires 30 members). "Active members" means members who logged in that week. Guilds that miss upkeep receive a 48-hour grace period before their plot is released. Structures on released plots are preserved for 14 days before deletion.
Guild names containing slurs, hate speech, or content that violates Section 1 will be forcibly renamed and the Guild leader warned. Repeated violations will result in Guild disbandment.
Players who leave a Guild lose access to all Guild-claimed territory immediately. Items left in Guild storage at the time of leaving remain the Guild's property unless the Guild leader chooses to return them.
Dungeons and boss encounters are designed for specific group sizes. Exploiting mechanics, stealing drops, or griefing other groups in dungeon content will be treated as a serious offence.
Dungeons are fully instanced — your group runs its own copy, and all loot drops are awarded directly to each qualifying player. You cannot steal another player's dungeon loot. Exploiting dungeon mechanics is still prohibited: clipping through geometry, bypassing boss phases, or abusing AI pathfinding. Report exploits to staff. First offence: formal warning. Second offence: temporary ban.
Intentionally drawing additional mobs onto another group, blocking dungeon exits, or interfering with another group's dungeon run in any way is not permitted in non-PvP dungeons. In PvP-enabled zones, interference is a player-risk consideration, not a rule violation.
World boss drops are split among all qualifying participants — players who dealt a minimum threshold of damage during the encounter. AFK players or those who join after the boss is at low HP do not qualify. This is enforced by the system, not by staff.
Dungeons reset on a per-instance basis. If your group fails and resets, you restart from the beginning. Using a reset to re-farm early rooms without completing the dungeon is not against the rules, but be aware that the Void Saturation meter in Dungeon 2 accumulates across resets.
Rank purchases support the server's development. By purchasing, you accept these terms in addition to the general disclaimer on the store page.
All rank perks and pricing are subject to change at any time due to economy balancing, game updates, or Minecraft EULA compliance. This is stated on the store page and is a condition of purchase.
Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback for a rank purchase will result in an immediate permanent ban. If you have a genuine payment issue, contact us through the Discord support ticket system before contacting your bank. We will always attempt to resolve legitimate issues.
Ranks are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to another player or account. Selling or gifting ranks between players is not permitted and will result in both accounts being reviewed.
Ranks are intended to carry across chapter seasons, but a full reset is not guaranteed. If a season change requires ranks to be reset, this will be communicated fully and in advance before any action is taken — no rank will be removed without prior notice. We will make every reasonable effort to honour rank status across seasons.
Having a rank does not grant any leniency in rule enforcement. Rank holders who break server rules are subject to the same punishments as any other player, including temporary or permanent bans. Ranks are not protection — they are support.
Refunds are not provided for rank purchases except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you purchased a rank and were immediately and permanently banned for a rule violation that predates your purchase, contact support — this will be reviewed case by case.
All bans except permanent bans for hate speech, hacked clients, duplication exploits, and chargebacks are eligible for appeal. Submit an appeal through the Discord support ticket system. Include your username, the reason given for your ban, and your case. Appeals are reviewed by a senior staff member who was not involved in the original decision.
